Great episode and a related question: On a project with many people is it acceptable for the PM to schedule or coordinate a meeting, but not attend it due to schedule conflicts or higher priorities….yet ask someone attending or facilitating to create the meeting notes and share them? Or might this split of duties cause confusion?

Not as complex as JIRA, but not as simple as Trello. Inside of a ‘Microsoft shop’ it’s often a free tool within Office365 that then ties to people’s email notifications or attach from SharePoint files, etc. And yes, you can pivot the view of tasks (as cards) by a couple different ways.
I was not getting much traction recently with an Excel RAID log but things improved after I converted it to a Microsoft Planner file. Using it’s ‘labels’ feature, I can view r.a.i.d.’s per person assigned, per project team, per deadline. The reporting sucks but I believe MSFT will improve this in 2019.
