PM Happy Hour 002 – Scope? The SECOND question to ask when starting a new project

This is course #2 of a 5 course series, “The first 5 questions you should ask when starting any new project,” from the PM Happy Hour podcast. Having these 5 questions ready at hand can help you in many situations where you need to get oriented in a project situation, including:

  • Kicking off a fresh new project
  • Taking over an in-flight project
  • Scoping out a new project opportunity
  • Performing an assessment of a project that may be in trouble
  • Communicating an overview of a project to team members or stakeholders

Question 2: Scope

After we understand the success criteria of a project, the next thing we need to understand is the SCOPE of the project. In this course, we discuss ways to better understand not just the scope of the project, but what our sponsors and stakeholders hope to accomplish with that intended project scope.

This course is worth .5 Strategic PDU’s or continuing education credit. On completion of this course and passing the quiz with 80% or greater, you can download your certificate.
